Could be, but not sure why block numbers would be consistent. I had a 57 plymouth swapped out with a replacement in Still have the car abd engine and engine warrantyband sales receipt. You can take your vin number to a auto parts store and they will tell you, the safest way is to take the motor number to auto parts store and they will tell you exactly what motor you got That way you don't get a motor you can't use..
